MID-RANGE WATER-REDUCING ADMIXTURE FOR CONCRETE

DESCRIPTION:

Plastimix - MR is a ready to use aqueous solution of complex compounds which enhance the performance of plastic and hardened concrete.  Plastimix - MR is manufactured under rigid quality control measures to provide uniform, reliable results.

USES:

Plastimix - MR is recommended for concrete mixes where improved workability, pumpability and finishability is desired while maintaining or reducing the w/cm ratio. Plastimix - MR provides uniform, normal set times, improves cementitious paste performance and can be used to increase early and ultimate strengths.

DOSAGE RATE:

Plastimix - MR is recommended for use at a dosage rate of 5 to 14 fluid ounces per 100 pounds (325 to 910 ml per 100 kg) of cement.

TECHNICAL NOTE:

Plastimix - MR does not contain any purposely added calcium chloride or other chloride based components.  It will not promote or contribute to corrosion of reinforcing steel in concrete.

STORAGE:

Plastimix - MR may freeze at temperatures below 35 F (2 C).  Although freezing does not harm Plastimix - MR, precautions should be taken to protect it from freezing.  If it should happen to freeze, thaw and reconstitute with mechanical agitation.  Do Not Use Pressurized Air For Agitation.

COMPATIBILITY:

Plastimix - MR is compatible with all types of Portland cement, class C and F fly ash, slag, microsilica, calcium chloride, fibers and approved air entraining, accelerating, retarding, and super plasticizing admixtures.

Field evaluations to determine proper air entrainment dosage rates are suggested when using Plastimix – MR.  It may be possible to reduce the air entraining admixture dosage rate to achieve the desired air content of the concrete mix.

Plastimix - MR can be used in all white, colored, and architectural concrete.  For best results, each admixture must be dispensed separately into the concrete mix.
